Who We Are
My name is Carissa Vazquez, and I am the owner and operator of Cocos Dog Boarding and Daycare! Along with my team, we manage the day-to-day operations of our small capacity boarding kennel by providing compassionate care catered to your dog. Since 2022, we’ve been operating as a dog boarding and daycare service for Felton, PA and the surrounding area. Motivated by a passion for animals and deep understanding of quality pet care, we continue to serve a growing client base and expand our service offerings to meet their needs. When you and your furry friend come to Cocos Dog Boarding and Daycare, you become part of our family.
Our Story
My passion for dogs began when we adopted our border collie, Bueller. This was closely followed by adopting our doberman, Darby. As a high energy working dogs, Bueller and Darby thrive in a home environment, but I‘ve always struggled to find a kennel where I felt they were comfortable. I realized the need in the industry for a boutique kennel, capable of catering to breed and personality.

A good kennel is not one-size fits all, and we tailor our operation to each dog's individual needs. We provide a non-conventional boarding environment for dogs with high anxiety, behavioral challenges, and elevated medical needs, and we are excited to serve the community here at our new location!

In addition to Cocos Dog Boarding, I operate a dog rescue, Genesis Pit Bull Rescue. Our goal at Genesis Rescue is to rescue, rehabilitate, and adopt dogs at high risk for euthanasia. We provide new beginnings for pitties in need and support the community by assisting in urgent rescue and surrender situations.
